About Kate and Max

Kate and Max live in Watertown, MA and have been together for 4 years. After meeting at work in a DoD research and development company, Kate changed careers and Max changed jobs: Kate now works as a home health nurse and Max works as a data engineer in health technology. They spent the pandemic “podded” with Max’s parents, gratefully accepting a place to work outside their one-bedroom apartment. After expanding to an apartment with home offices, they ended their “WeWork” pod but continued to visit often. They eloped February 22, 2022 in a private ceremony on the Charles River Esplanade. Kate graduated nursing school in December 2022 and then passed the boards, becoming an RN, in February 2023. In May 2023 they were able to move to a condo with their dream view of Boston and are now living with  Meghan, their two cats, and their two bunnies. Now, they enjoy regular Sunday brunches with the Gunthers, frequent visits to and from Kate’s family in Buffalo, time with Meghan’s Texas-based family, and playing games with friends near and far!
